Why does Skip Bayless have a job in sports?

I think the man is an idiot. He hates on the best player in the game right now in LeBron James, is a huge Kobe homer, and makes the stupidest comments to try and prove a point. Did anyone hear him comparing LeBron's 2007 Eastern Conference Finals which he won comparison to Melo's performance in the 2011 First Round which he lost.
